| Our Sovràn is
none other than Tocai Friulano, which for various political
- territorial reasons will lose its name to Hungary in 2007.
We won’t forget that Tocai is the best vine in Friuli
Venezia Giulia, the most widespread, the most loved. Sovràn,
eulogy to its land of origin, is a regal, important name:
“sovereign” in the native language.It was a joy
planting a vine with our friends from all over the world on
a fresh May morning in 1997, in order not to forget that though
Tocai will probably lose its name, it will never lose the
affection bestowed upon it by us Friulians.
Its typical flavour which is reminiscent of bitter almonds
is unequivocal and undeniably linked to our origins.
