Pieris,
S. Canzian d'Isonzo, Villa Vicentina. The first parcels of land
acquired. Today theses 40 acres of grapes are used for table wine
sold directly at the vineyard to the local public. These, the oldest
vines of the firm, formerly cultivated with the Casarsa system,
have been converted to the Cordone Speronato system so that they
can be more easily worked mechanically. This terrain is highly adapted
to the cultivation of grapevines because of the presence of white
gravel of recent geologic alluvion, and is of high permeability
and aeration.
